Annual Winter Clothing Drive

The Rotary Club of Naperville Sunrise announces the start of its 22nd annual clothing drive to benefit those in need of warm winter clothing. Rotary volunteers are placing boxes in the community to receive donations of new or gently used coats, jackets, hats, gloves, scarves and mittens. All men, women, teens, and children’s sizes, infant through XXXL adult, are accepted. The annual drive kicks off on October 16th at the club’s weekly breakfast meeting at the Naperville Country Club and runs through November 18th.

“The mission of Rotary is “Service Above Self”, and we are proud to partner with 360 Youth Services for their teen and young adult residential clients and  Sharing Connections to deliver warm clothing to those in our area who are in need in the upcoming winter season,” said Mike Tenuta, Rotary Club of Naperville Sunrise President. “The Naperville community has always been very generous, and we look forward to another successful Winter Clothing Drive.”

Past beneficiaries include: Hesed House, Sharing Connections and  Midwest Shelter for Homeless Veterans.  These are local organizations that serve those in need. We have partnered with these groups, in addition to the Naperville Consolidated Unit School District 203 and Indian Prairie School District 204, in delivering warm clothing to those in our area who are in need in the upcoming winter season.

There is a particular need for new and gently used coats in Women's Coats:

Three sized Small; Five Medium; One Large; Two 1X; and One 2X as well as Men’s Coats Two sized Small, Four Medium, Seven Large and One XL.  These coats should be dropped in the box at  Anderson’s Bookshop in Downtown Naperville ONLY.
